Established in 2014 as a unit of the Dr. VKMA Medical Foundation, the centre was founded by Prof. Dr. Shivan Raj Ayyanathan in loving memory of his father, Late Dr. KM Ayyanathan, Ph.D (Hons. Edu.). The facility was formally inaugurated in 2018 to commemorate Dr. KM Ayyanathan’s 75th birth anniversary.
