Dr. VKMA Medical Foundation (Dr. VKMAMF) is a not-for-profit healthcare foundation committed to delivering ethical, patient-centric medical care across multiple specialities of modern medicine. Founded on 2nd November 2014, the foundation stands as a tribute to the life, values, and vision of the Late Dr. K.M. Ayyanathan, Ph.D. (Hons.), whose legacy continues to inspire excellence in healthcare.

The Vision Behind the Foundation
Born on 20th March 1943 in Vadaseri, Thanjavur district, Late Dr. K.M. Ayyanathan was a visionary whose life was shaped by resilience, determination, and service. After completing his secondary education in Madras, he made the bold decision to pursue entrepreneurship rather than conventional academic pathways.
Through unwavering perseverance and hard work, he established successful business ventures in Madras at a remarkably young age. Despite his professional success, his heart remained deeply connected to his roots. His commitment to social upliftment led him to establish educational institutions in his hometown, empowering generations through knowledge and opportunity.
For his extraordinary contributions to education, he was honoured with the revered title “Kalvijothi,” a recognition that reflects his lifelong belief in education and service as pillars of societal progress.
